Civil Charge Hand / Ganger - NG Person ESSENTIAL Site: Pembroke 400kV Substation, West Wales Location: Pembroke, Wales Rate: £35 per hour Hours: 50 hours per week PAID Working Hours: 07:30-17:30 Contract: Temporary Start Date: ASAP Duration: Jan 2027 Positions: 1

We are currently looking for an experienced Civil Charge Hand / Ganger to work on a major 400kV substation project in Pembroke.

The successful candidate will lead a working party carrying out a range of civil and drainage works, ensuring that safety, quality and productivity standards are maintained throughout the project.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a civil working party on site Installation of surface water, foul water and oily water drainage Installation of LV and HV ducting and draw pits Installation of LV and HV precast troughing Excavation and preparation of foundations, including blinding and concrete placement Backfilling and compaction of excavations Carrying out hand excavations and safe digging to HSG47 requirements Identifying and working safely around existing underground services Vehicle marshalling and banking of excavators Operating plant including forward tipping dumpers and ride-on rollers Ensuring the working party follows site safety and quality procedures Monitoring progress and ensuring project targets are achievedEssential Requirements:

HSG47 - 2 Day Substation training EUSR card specifically stating HSG47 HV Substations National Grid Person (NG Person) Manual Handling Competent Person experience Previous experience working on HV substation projects Relevant experience leading a civil gang / working party Full PPE available before starting on siteDesirable:

NPORS or CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper NPORS or CPCS Ride-on Roller Willingness to assist with general groundworks Experience with drainage, ducting and precast troughing on substation projectsIf you are interested and possess the right experience and qualifications.
