Civil Design Engineer - Infrastructure Development

Our client is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join their bustling Bristol office, focusing on critical infrastructure development projects. You will be involved in the entire design process for new developments, including site infrastructure, roads, drainage, and utilities. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed civil engineering design for infrastructure associated with new developments.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications for roads, drainage, and earthworks.
• Liaise with local authorities and statutory undertakers regarding approvals and connections.
• Conduct site surveys and investigations to inform design processes.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK planning policies, building regulations, and environmental standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and construction phase support.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
• Good understanding of highways design, S38, S104, and S278 agreements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
