Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for transportation infrastructure, including highways, junctions, and public transport facilities.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and drawings using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary data for design development.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors to ensure design requirements are met.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and local standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Contribute to tender preparation and technical proposal development for new projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design, specifically within the transportation sector.
• Proficiency in transportation design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MX, Civil 3D, OpenRoads).
• Familiarity with DMR, MCH, and other relevant UK highway design standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a project team.
