About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Liverpool , focusing on urban development projects. You will be responsible for the design of site infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and external works, for a range of residential and commercial schemes. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute to the creation of well-designed and sustainable urban spaces. This role offers the chance to develop your design skills and contribute to impactful local regeneration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce detailed drawings for site infrastructure, including highways, drainage, and earthworks.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for planning applications and Section 38/104/278 agreements.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines, including architects, M&E engineers, and landscape architects.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create accurate and compliant design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with current UK design standards and best practices for sustainable development.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of relevant design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
- Understanding of UK planning and regulatory processes for development infrastructure.
- Experience in designing surface water and foul water drainage systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, with some office attendance required.
