About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their established team in Milton Keynes . This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who excels in developing detailed designs for various infrastructure projects. You will contribute to the conceptualization and execution phases, ensuring that all designs meet stringent engineering standards and client specifications. This is a critical on-site role that requires close collaboration with project managers, surveyors, and construction teams to bring complex projects to fruition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, and earthworks.
- Develop technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for design purposes.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and local regulations and standards in Milton Keynes .
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and construction phase support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Design Engineer , with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles , drainage design, and road geometry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all technical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical information clearly.
