Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role focuses on developing detailed engineering designs for a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. You will be responsible for translating project requirements into effective and compliant design solutions, working closely with project managers and construction teams. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed civil engineering designs for site development, drainage, highways, and utilities.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create technical drawings and models.
• Perform calculations for earthworks, drainage systems, and other structural elements.
• Ensure designs meet current UK building regulations, standards, and client specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of design reports, specifications, and tender documents.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams throughout the design and construction phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 4 years of experience in civil design engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Good understanding of drainage design, SSUDS, and earthworks principles.
• Knowledge of relevant UK building standards and environmental considerations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
