About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their expanding, fully remote team, contributing to significant projects across the UK. This role focuses on the conceptualization, planning, and detailed design phases of various civil engineering schemes, including transportation infrastructure, drainage systems, and land development. You will utilize advanced design software and collaborate virtually with project managers, other engineers, and external stakeholders to bring innovative solutions to life. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs for infrastructure projects, including roads, sewers, and site layouts.
- Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software like AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design options appraisals.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK planning policies, building regulations, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external consultants in a virtual environment.
- Undertake site visits as required, ensuring designs are practical and constructible.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in civil engineering design .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant design software for drainage and highways.
- Strong understanding of UK design standards and legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage project tasks effectively in a remote setting .
