About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their established team. This is a site-based role requiring close collaboration within the office and with external partners. You will be responsible for the detailed design and development of various civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage, and road infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed civil design drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site analysis, including grading, drainage, and utility design.
- Ensure designs comply with local and national building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines, architects, and surveyors.
- Perform quantity take-offs and assist in the preparation of project cost estimates.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil design engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Solid understanding of drainage design, stormwater management, and site grading principles.
- Familiarity with relevant UK engineering standards and design guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
