About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their innovative team, operating remotely with a focus on projects across the UK, including a strong presence in Milton Keynes . You will be responsible for the technical design and development of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, utilizing advanced software and engineering principles. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented engineer who excels in conceptualizing and detailing designs, ensuring they are technically sound, cost-effective, and meet all statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, earthworks, and public realm areas.
- Utilize CAD and other design software to produce accurate technical drawings, models, and calculations.
- Undertake site analysis and surveys to inform design development and resolve site-specific challenges.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant national standards, environmental legislation, and building codes.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines, architects, and stakeholders to integrate designs.
- Prepare design documentation, including reports, specifications, and schedules for tender and construction purposes.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in civil engineering design, ideally with experience in infrastructure or development projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage design packages.
- A solid understanding of geometrical design principles, site development, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage design tasks efficiently in a remote setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.
