Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their busy team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is integral to the development and execution of diverse civil engineering infrastructure projects, requiring a strong understanding of design principles and practical application. You will contribute to the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed civil engineering designs, including site layouts, drainage, and road alignments.
• Utilize CAD software to produce accurate engineering drawings and plans.
• Undertake technical calculations for aspects such as earthworks, drainage, and pavement design.
• Assist in the preparation of design reports, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other consultants to coordinate design efforts.
• Support construction teams by providing technical clarifications and solutions during the build phase.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Civil Design Engineer, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
• Good understanding of hydraulic calculations for drainage and SUDs.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, based near Bradford .
