Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Oxford . This role will involve the design of site infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and earthworks, for a range of exciting development projects across Oxfordshire and beyond. You will contribute to the creation of well-designed, sustainable, and functional environments, working closely with project managers and external consultants. Key Responsibilities

• Design and detail site infrastructure, including road alignments, access arrangements, and surface water management systems.
• Prepare detailed calculations and drawings for earthworks, drainage, and external works.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant UK design standards, highway specifications, and planning requirements.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and statutory undertakers to gain necessary approvals and coordinate services.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and assist with site inspections when necessary.

Requirements

• Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in civil infrastructure design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential; experience with MicroDrainage is advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of the DMRB, MCHW, and other relevant UK design guides.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively on projects in Oxford .
