Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client has an immediate opening for a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their established engineering team in Leeds, West Yorkshire . This role is crucial for developing and delivering a range of exciting infrastructure and development projects across the region. You will be responsible for producing high-quality design documentation and ensuring that all engineering solutions meet stringent technical and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and detail civil engineering works, including road alignments, earthworks, drainage systems, and external works for residential and commercial developments.
• Prepare comprehensive design drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports in accordance with industry best practices and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data and assess existing conditions.
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines, architects, and planning consultants to ensure integrated project solutions.
• Assist in the tender process, including the preparation of Bills of Quantities and technical evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK building regulations, highway standards, and environmental legislation.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of practical experience in civil engineering design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
• Good understanding of highway design, S104/S38/S18 agreements, and flood risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
