Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their established team in Bradford . In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the design phase of diverse civil engineering projects, from initial concept development through to detailed technical drawings. You will work closely with project managers and site engineers to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects, including site development, drainage, and roadways.
• Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct site feasibility studies and surveys, analyzing data to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and other consultants to ensure integrated project solutions.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors during the construction phase.
• Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations, environmental standards, and local planning policies.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in civil design engineering, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Solid understanding of geotechnical principles , hydrology, and transportation engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with an aptitude for technical documentation.
