Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh , focusing on essential infrastructure projects . This role is integral to the development and maintenance of public works, including utilities, roads, and public spaces. You will be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial surveys and design through to construction supervision and handover. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site surveys and investigations for infrastructure projects, including utility networks and public realm developments.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering works.
• Manage construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and budget, reporting regularly on performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and site supervision .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and common civil engineering design software.
• Good understanding of construction methods and materials for infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with contract administration and project management principles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
