Civil Engineer - Site Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to focus on site development projects within their dynamic team in Liverpool . This role will involve the design and oversight of various land development schemes, including commercial, residential, and industrial sites across the Merseyside area. You will be responsible for site layout, drainage design, road access, and utility coordination, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to high standards. The position is ideal for an engineer looking to make a tangible impact on local development and gain broad experience in land planning and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan site layouts, including grading, earthworks, and erosion control measures.
• Develop comprehensive drainage systems, including surface water management and foul water disposal.
• Design access roads, parking areas, and pedestrian pathways in accordance with relevant standards.
• Coordinate with utility providers to ensure seamless integration of services (water, gas, electricity, telecoms).
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and permit applications for local authorities.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in site development or land development engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and preferably hydraulic modeling software.
• Solid understanding of local planning regulations and building codes in the UK .
• Ability to manage multiple small to medium-sized projects concurrently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
