About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer with expertise in Site Development to join their team in Plymouth . This role focuses on the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure for new developments, encompassing residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will be responsible for managing drainage, roads, utilities, and site grading to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and sustainably. Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage site infrastructure, including earthworks, drainage systems (SUDs), roads, and utilities.
- Prepare detailed site development plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess development potential.
- Liaise with local planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and clients throughout the development process.
- Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure designs are implemented correctly and safely.
- Ensure all designs and construction meet regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in site development engineering, including master planning and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
- Good understanding of planning policies and building regulations related to development.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
