About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with a passion for sustainable infrastructure to join their team in Sheffield . This hybrid role focuses on the design and implementation of environmentally responsible civil engineering solutions, including sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), green infrastructure, and low-carbon construction practices. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), including permeable paving, green roofs, and swales.
• Contribute to the development of low-carbon design strategies for civil engineering projects.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for sustainable infrastructure components.
• Liaise with environmental consultants, ecologists, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for green infrastructure projects.
• Stay current with advancements in sustainable construction materials and techniques.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with a focus on sustainability.
• Experience in designing and implementing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) or green infrastructure.
• Good understanding of environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with relevant UK environmental legislation and policies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and an understanding of GIS applications.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to sustainable development principles.
