Civil Engineer - Utilities Design

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in Utilities Design to join their expanding remote team, based in or near Edinburgh . You will be responsible for the design and planning of essential utility networks, including water, wastewater, and drainage systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive plans for water, sewer, and drainage systems for various developments.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with Scottish Water standards, SEPA regulations, and other relevant legislation.
• Coordinate with utility providers, local authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for utility infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Experience in the design of water, wastewater, and surface water drainage systems.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Thorough understanding of Scottish building standards and water industry regulations.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
