Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: £36,000 - £44,000

A well-established civil and structural design practice is seeking a Civil Engineer to support residential and commercial development schemes across the Midlands. Reporting directly to a Director, this Civil Engineer role provides real exposure to design delivery and statutory approvals.

As a Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of drainage and infrastructure design while working closely with senior colleagues to deliver technically robust solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drainage and infrastructure designs
• Produce drawings for S104, S38 and S278 submissions
• Liaise with local authorities and design teams
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D or PDS and drainage software
• Ensure outputs meet UK standards and compliance

Candidate requirements

• Three to four years' UK consultancy experience
• Strong drainage and development infrastructure background
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design tools
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Confident communicator with problem-solving ability
