Civil Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client, a progressive engineering consultancy, is looking for a dedicated Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their distributed team, working entirely remotely. Based from Leeds , you will contribute to a wide array of development projects, focusing on the design of essential infrastructure such as roads, sewers, and utilities. This role demands a self-motivated individual with strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, capable of thriving in a virtual collaborative environment. You will be key in ensuring the successful delivery of sustainable and functional infrastructure solutions for new build developments across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed infrastructure plans for residential and commercial developments, including roads, access, drainage, and utility connections.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, for regulatory submission.
• Undertake site feasibility studies and technical due diligence for development projects.
• Liaise effectively with statutory undertakers, local planning authorities, and other consultants.
• Utilize industry-standard CAD and design software to produce accurate and compliant designs.
• Ensure designs adhere to relevant design standards, building regulations, and environmental best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for infrastructure design.
• Strong understanding of Section 38, Section 104, and Section 278 agreements and processes.
• Experience in designing foul and surface water drainage systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a remote working setup.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
