About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This role involves the design, development, and implementation of various infrastructure projects, including road networks, utilities, and public realm schemes. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet design, regulatory, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop infrastructure solutions for new developments and existing assets.
- Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications for roads, drainage, and utility systems.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design processes.
- Ensure designs comply with current building regulations, highways standards, and environmental legislation.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, contractors, and local authorities to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and review contractor submissions.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage design packages.
- Good understanding of Section 278, Section 38, and drainage adoption processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
