Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to join their established team in Manchester . This role is critical for overseeing the successful execution of diverse civil engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing multiple project facets, coordinating with various stakeholders, and driving project objectives forward on-site and in the office. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all phases of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Oversee site operations, contractor management, and quality control to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to identify and resolve potential issues promptly.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and variation orders.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to maintain strong working relationships.
• Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a project engineering or site management role within the civil engineering sector.
• Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, or groundwork.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, and project planning tools.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and relevant CAD software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
