Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Civil Project Engineer to contribute to their expanding portfolio of projects in Coventry . You will be instrumental in overseeing the successful implementation of various civil engineering schemes, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, contractors, and clients to address challenges and maintain project momentum. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities for civil engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and external agencies.
• Review project documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project records.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in site-based civil engineering roles.
• SMSTS or equivalent health and safety certification.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage, and structural elements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
