About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to join their expanding operations in Coventry, West Midlands . This role is central to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of diverse civil engineering projects, requiring a blend of technical expertise and strong project management capabilities. You will work within a supportive team environment, contributing to the development of key infrastructure and construction initiatives within the region. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring projects meet stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards, fostering innovation and efficient project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Review and approve project designs, technical specifications, and construction plans.
- Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance in Coventry .
- Prepare regular project reports for senior management and clients, detailing progress, budget, and any deviations.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar project delivery role within civil engineering.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and construction principles.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software.
- Understanding of local planning policies and building regulations in the West Midlands .
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
