Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Civil Project Engineer to manage and deliver key infrastructure projects in the Brighton area. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design liaison to execution and close-out. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery against scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and site instructions.
• Oversee procurement, contract administration, and financial management for assigned projects.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to track project performance and address any issues proactively.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in project engineering or project management within the civil engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods , contract law , and health and safety legislation .
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
