Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Project Engineer to join their established team in Coventry . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of infrastructure and development projects, blending site visits with office-based design and coordination. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, working closely with senior engineers, construction teams, and external consultants. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects, ensuring technical accuracy and project success.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents under the supervision of a chartered engineer.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project progression and resolve technical issues.
• Perform calculations and analysis related to drainage, roads, earthworks, and other civil infrastructure.
• Contribute to project cost estimations and progress reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in civil engineering design and project support.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and relevant design standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required by the hybrid work model.
