Civil Project Manager - Water and Wastewater Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee significant water and wastewater infrastructure projects in and around Edinburgh . This vital role involves the comprehensive management of projects from initial planning and procurement through to final construction and commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will be a key liaison between the client, design teams, and construction contractors, driving successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from conception to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee contract administration, procurement, and tendering processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
• Manage stakeholder communications and reporting to clients and senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Substantial experience in project management within the water/wastewater sector.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Professional accreditation such as PMP or PRINCE2 is advantageous.
