Civil Site Engineer - Construction Supervision

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to join their construction team in Bradford . You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to effectively manage site resources, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain high standards of quality control. You will play a critical part in bringing civil engineering projects to life, ensuring successful execution from the ground up within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, including earthworks, concrete pours, and structural steel erection.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and implement site safety procedures.
• Interpret construction drawings and technical specifications , verifying that work is being completed correctly.
• Conduct quality control inspections and testing of materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material quantities , and site diaries.
• Resolve on-site technical issues and liaise with the design team as necessary.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Assistant Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and site management principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
