About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to join their construction team in Nottingham . This role is hands-on, focusing on the day-to-day supervision of civil engineering works on construction sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project designs and specifications. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career engineer or a site engineer looking to gain further experience on a variety of construction projects within a supportive, field-based team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the execution of civil engineering works on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and management to ensure smooth project progression.
- Conduct quality control checks and report on site progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist with the setting out of the works and ensure accuracy in measurements and levels.
- Maintain site records, including daily logs and completion certificates.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in a site engineering or similar construction role.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and surveying techniques.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and relevant construction software is advantageous.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
