Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join their busy team in Nottingham , focusing on the design of building structures. You will be involved in a wide array of projects, from residential developments to commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with all relevant codes. Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural elements for various building types, including foundations, beams, columns, and slabs.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues that may arise.
- Provide technical advice and solutions for structural challenges during project lifecycles.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design for building structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit Structure).
- Solid knowledge of materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
- Good understanding of construction processes and site practices in Nottingham .
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
