About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Structural Engineer to join their established team in Portsmouth . This role focuses on the structural integrity and design of a wide array of civil engineering projects, from new builds to refurbishments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all structures meet stringent safety, regulatory, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structures for various civil engineering projects, including buildings, bridges, and foundations.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using relevant software.
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify structural integrity.
- Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Assess existing structures and recommend appropriate repair or strengthening solutions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD.
- In-depth knowledge of material properties, structural mechanics, and construction methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
