About the Role
Our client seeks a qualified and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join their respected practice based in Belfast . This role focuses on the structural integrity and design aspects of a wide range of construction projects, from commercial buildings to infrastructure developments across Northern Ireland . You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and durability of structures through meticulous analysis and design. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports compliant with British Standards and relevant codes.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to provide integrated design solutions.
- Assess existing structures, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
- Manage structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional qualification such as MIStructE or MICE is highly valued.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD.
- Thorough knowledge of UK building codes, Eurocodes, and relevant structural design standards.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
