About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and empathetic Claims Adjuster to join their dedicated team in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this vital role, you will manage a caseload of insurance claims, from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring fair and timely resolution for policyholders. You will conduct thorough investigations, assess damages, negotiate settlements, and maintain meticulous records, all while providing exceptional customer service during challenging times for our clients in the Tyne and Wear region. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate insurance claims, gathering all necessary documentation, evidence, and witness statements.
- Assess the extent of damage or loss, determining policy coverage and liability.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives in a fair and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim activities and communications within the claims management system.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear and empathetic communication to policyholders throughout the claims process.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Claims Adjuster or in a related insurance claims role is essential.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
- A thorough understanding of insurance policies and claims handling principles.
