Claims Assessor - Property Insurance

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent Claims Assessor with expertise in property insurance to join their remote team, servicing clients across Northern Ireland . In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating property damage claims, determining coverage, and managing the claims process from initial notification through to final settlement. Your ability to conduct thorough investigations, negotiate fairly, and communicate effectively with policyholders and external parties will be paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess property insurance claims, including detailed inspection and damage evaluation.
• Interpret policy coverage and conditions to determine the validity and extent of claims.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders and/or their representatives, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
• Manage a portfolio of claims efficiently, maintaining accurate records and proactive communication.
• Liaise with loss adjusters, surveyors, and other relevant parties to gather information and support claim assessments.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company claims handling procedures.

Requirements

• Significant experience in property claims assessing or management within the insurance industry.
• Deep understanding of property insurance policies , construction types, and damage assessment techniques.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities, with a capacity for clear, concise documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote working environment.
