About the Role
Our client is seeking a certified Class 1 ADR Driver to join their specialized transport division based in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for the safe and compliant transportation of hazardous materials across the UK. You will be responsible for operating a Class 1 HGV with ADR certification, ensuring all loads are handled and transported according to stringent safety protocols and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with dangerous goods transport, a meticulous approach to safety, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in the industry, contributing to our client's reputation for excellence in hazardous materials logistics in the West Midlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle for the transport of hazardous goods, adhering to ADR regulations.
- Ensure all loads are properly placarded, secured, and documented in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, including checks specific to ADR-equipped vehicles.
- Plan efficient and safe routes, considering the nature of the hazardous materials being transported.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery notes, and any required hazardous goods documentation.
- Respond professionally and safely to any incidents or emergencies that may arise during transport.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV driving license with an ADR certificate (Packages) in relevant classes.
- Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification and Digi card.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles, with significant experience in ADR transport.
- Thorough understanding of ADR regulations and safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network, particularly routes relevant to hazardous material transport.
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly and maintain composure in critical situations.
