Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for ongoing work based in Sedgefield.

This role involves collections from hospitals and healthcare sites, transporting medical waste in a safe, professional and compliant manner.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable Class 1 driver looking for regular work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

• Driving Class 1 vehicles

• Collecting medical waste from hospitals and healthcare sites

• Working to planned routes and schedules

• Completing daily vehicle checks

• Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly

• Following site rules and health & safety procedures

• Representing the business professionally at customer sites

Shift Pattern

• 4 on 4 off

• 06:00 / 07:00 starts

• Start date: 20/08/2026

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence

• Driver CPC

• Digital Tachograph Card

• ADR beneficial, but not essential

• Reliable and professional attitude

• Good communication skills

• Comfortable working around healthcare / clinical environments

• Safety-focused approach
