Job Description
Overview
Manpower UK is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a permanent role based in Kirkby Thore. This position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with flexible shift options, including early starts from 3:00am‑4:00am or night shifts commencing at 5:00pm, each lasting 10–11 hours. Drivers will work on the British Gypsum contract, handling transportation duties with modern vehicles at a pay rate of £17.05–£18.19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class1 (C+E) vehicles in a professional and courteous manner.
- Deliver British Gypsum products to customers, typically completing two drops per shift.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before every journey.
- Drive a modern fleet equipped with the latest technology.
- Work to industry‑leading FORS Gold safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid LGV C+E licence.
- Up‑to‑date CPC and Digital Tachograph (DIGI) card.
- No more than six penalty points.
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements.
- Reliability and a commitment to safe driving practices.
