Class 2 Driver - Local Collections

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Class 2 Driver to manage local collection routes from their depot in Sunderland . This role involves the collection and transportation of various materials or goods, requiring careful handling and adherence to specific schedules. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the company's collection services throughout the Tyne and Wear region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle for scheduled collections.
• Safely collect and secure goods or materials from designated locations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Complete all necessary collection records and delivery notes accurately.
• Adhere strictly to driving regulations, including working hours and speed limits in the Sunderland area.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence .
• Up-to-date Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a Class 2 driver.
• Good geographical knowledge of Sunderland and surrounding areas.
• Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks as required.
