We are currently looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy food wholesaler on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on delivery role involving the transportation and delivery of food products to customers. The position involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting , so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable with the demands of the job. Key Responsibilities Driving a Class 2 HGV safely and responsibly Delivering food products to customers on scheduled routes Loading and unloading the vehicle Manual handling and heavy lifting of food products Using sack trucks, pallet trucks and delivery equipment where required Completing multi-drop deliveries Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks Completing delivery paperwork / electronic proof of delivery Providing professional customer service Following all company health & safety procedures Requirements Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience Valid Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph Card Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred Experience within food, wholesale or distribution is an advantage Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting Reliable, punctual and hardworking Good communication and customer service xwwtmva skills Good knowledge of UK roads What We Offer Temporary / ongoing work Competitive hourly rate Regular work available for the right driver Weekly pay Friendly and professional working environment Potential for further opportunities based on performance If you are an experienced Class 2 driver who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable with heavy manual handling, we want to hear from you.
