Job Description
Driver Hire is looking to recruit up to two Class 2 Drivers to join our team. These HGV Class 2 Driver roles are ideal for experienced Class 2 Drivers looking for flexible agency work, holiday and sickness cover, and the opportunity to secure ongoing or temp-to-perm positions. We are building a pool of inducted Class 2 Drivers who are ready to work when required and support our client with additional driving cover.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete 4-8 deliveries per day to commercial customers.
- Deliver goods safely and efficiently as a Class 2 Driver.
- Products are unloaded on site by the customer using a forklift.
- Use an ePOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) system to manage and complete deliveries.
- Strap and secure loads before and during transport.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks.
- Adhere to all transport legislation, compliance procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery.
Job Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 Driver experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Comfortable using handheld devices and ePOD systems.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
