Class 2 HGV Driver - Multi-Drop

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for their busy operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves the multi-drop delivery of goods to commercial and residential customers across the region. You will be responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle, timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of delivery schedules, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently. This is a key position within our client's distribution network, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and professional service in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute multi-drop deliveries accurately and efficiently, adhering to scheduled timeframes.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
• Load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling and security.
• Obtain signatures and proof of delivery from customers, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with the transport management team regarding delivery progress and any issues encountered.
• Uphold company standards for safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (C) HGV driving license.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification.
• A digital tachograph card.
• Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Class 2 HGV driver.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your license.
• Familiarity with the road network in and around Stoke-on-Trent is advantageous.
