About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient and dependable Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves the transportation of goods using a Class 2 vehicle, requiring skill in maneuvering larger vehicles and adherence to strict safety protocols. You will play a key part in the company's operations, ensuring deliveries are made punctually and safely within the Staffordshire area and surrounding regions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver to work with a reputable logistics provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV safely and efficiently, complying with all legal requirements and company standards.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure optimal safety and performance.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent any damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents using company-provided systems.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status and schedules.
• Adhere to designated routes and delivery times, representing the company professionally.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 HGV license (Category C).
• Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card.
• A minimum of one year's experience driving Class 2 vehicles is preferred.
• Clean driving license with no major endorsements.
• Good knowledge of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire road networks.
• Understanding of WTD (Working Time Directive) regulations.
