About the Role

Our client is recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to support their operations in Sunderland . This role is essential for the efficient distribution of products to various customers across the North East. You will be responsible for operating a Class 2 vehicle, ensuring deliveries are made safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations and a commitment to providing excellent service. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle for local and regional deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, including safety and maintenance inspections.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies.
• Load and unload goods responsibly, ensuring their safety.
• Collect proof of delivery and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Provide a courteous and professional service to all clients.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
• Completed Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid UK digital tachograph card.
• A minimum of 1 year's experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Sunderland area and beyond.
• Excellent driving record and commitment to safety.
