Class 2 HGV driver

Job Summary

Class 2 HGV Driver responsible for safe and timely deliveries across the network. Must live within 30 minutes of Dartford.

Compensation & Contract

• Pay Rate: £38,209.76 plus up to £1,800 performance bonus.
• Grade: P
• Contract Type: Permanent (Full‑time).
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 5am start and nights away required.
• Location: Dartford, DA1 5FD.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to clients and field engineers on schedule.
• Drive safely and efficiently in compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Perform regular vehicle checks.
• Comply with health and safety, Highway Code, road safety rules, and vehicle regulations.
• Work nights away, including travel to other sites (other than Cambridge or Basingstoke, where nights away will be reduced).
• Manual handling of items as required.
• Maintain accurate records for performance bonus calculations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Willingness to accept newly qualified drivers.
• Must be resident within 30 minutes of Dartford.
