Class 2 Recycling & Waste Driver

We are currently looking for experienced and reliableClass 2 Recycling & Waste Driver to join our team in Calne.

This is a great opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 driver looking for regular work with a well-established waste and recycling operation.

The Role

As a Class 2 Recycling & Waste Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while carrying out local waste and recycling collections.

Your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 HGV safely and responsibly.
• Carrying out waste and recycling collections across the local area.
• Working as part of a team with loaders and collection crews.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring waste and recycling is collected safely and efficiently.
• Following all company, health & safety and environmental procedures.
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers and members of the public.

Requirements

• ValidClass 2 (Cat C) HGV licence .
• ValidCPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Waste, recycling or refuse collection experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good knowledge of road safety and relevant driving regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team and undertake some physical work.
