Classic Car Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Classic Car Technician in Woking, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled motor trade professional with experience in vintage vehicle restoration.

Duties of a Classic Car Technician:

• Conducting detailed restoration work on classic and vintage cars, including fabricating, welding, and full ground-up restorations
• Rebuilding suspensions, carburettors, and other mechanical components
• Performing full vehicle reconstructions rather than simple bolt-on tasks
• Applying craftsmanship and precision to deliver high-quality restorations
• Supporting the workshop team with technical knowledge and skills
• Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards

Requirements of a Classic Car Technician:

• Proven experience as a motor engineer, with a minimum of 5 years within a workshop environment
• Extensive knowledge in classic car restoration, including carburettor and suspension rebuilds
• Skilled in fabricating, welding, and performing detailed mechanical restorations
• Passionate about vintage and classic vehicles with a keen eye for quality
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and capable of working independently or within a team
• Strong commitment to craftsmanship and safety standards
