About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative Supervisor to join their team in Reading . This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for ensuring that cleaning standards are met and exceeded across designated areas. You will lead a team of cleaning operatives, provide training, conduct inspections, and manage the day-to-day operations of the cleaning services. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, on-site environment. This position requires physical presence and direct oversight of cleaning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Develop and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are covered effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure quality and identify any issues.
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
• Uphold and enforce all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory or team lead role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a cleaning team.
• Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a cleaning environment.
