About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Cleaning Technician to join their facilities team in Nottingham , with a hybrid working arrangement. This role involves performing a comprehensive range of cleaning duties to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation across various areas of the facility. You will be responsible for both routine cleaning tasks and specialised sanitation, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, efficient, and possess a strong understanding of cleaning best practices and safety protocols, contributing to the overall operational excellence of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
• Operate and maintain specialised cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
• Apply cleaning and sanitising solutions safely and effectively according to product instructions and site protocols.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks and respond to immediate cleaning needs as they arise.
• Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the facilities manager promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cleaning technician or in a similar role is essential.
• Proficiency in using a variety of cleaning equipment and understanding different cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning services (e.g., COSHH).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong time management skills.
• Physically capable of performing manual cleaning tasks and working in various environments.
