Clerk of Works

A well established construction consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Clerk of Works.

This is a site/home based role involving regular inspections across a range of construction projects in the Suffolk and Norfolk area.

You'll be responsible for:

Undertaking regular site inspections and monitoring construction progress Producing clear, detailed and timely professional reports Checking works against contractual drawings, Employers' Requirements, warranty provider standards and Building Regulations Identifying defects, discrepancies and areas of non compliance Taking ownership of defect trackers and proactively following up with site teams Managing snagging, de-snagging and end of defects liability period inspections Maintaining accurate project records in line with the company's filing and quality assurance proceduresExperience needed:

Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works or Construction Inspector Membership of the ICWCI or CIOB Strong knowledge of building construction processes Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts Experience using Field View or PlanRadar The ability to produce high quality technical reports Strong communication, organisation and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook. A full UK driving licence This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and respected consultancy offering a varied workload and the opportunity to take ownership of projects.

Salary: £50,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
