Clinical Research Associate

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join their expanding clinical operations team based in Birmingham . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing clinical trials at various investigative sites, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. You will act as the primary liaison between the sponsor and the sites, playing a vital part in the successful execution of studies that bring new medicines to patients. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage clinical trial sites to ensure compliance with protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site initiation visits, routine monitoring visits, and close-out visits.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of source data and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure timely collection and review of trial-related documentation, including CRFs and adverse event reports.
• Communicate effectively with investigators, site staff, and internal project teams.
• Troubleshoot site issues and implement corrective actions to maintain study integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate or in a similar monitoring role.
• Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building strong site relationships.
